For years Poles have been able to enjoy cheap meals in canteens known as milk bars. The food was subsidised in the communist era but now many are threatened with closure as the government withdraws the subsidies.
Rajan Datar went to sample the food at a Warsaw milk bar and learned from enthusiast Jacek Fenderson how many Polish people are trying to fight the closures.
