Journey of a lifetime to Antarctica

With 80ft (24m) icebergs and hundreds of thousands of penguins, Antarctica is a once in a lifetime experience. But as an increasing number of visitors head to the white continent, tour operators are being encouraged to do more to protect it.

In the first of two reports Karen Bowerman travels south to learn more about the unique continent with a voyage that begins on the southernmost tip of Argentina, and takes in the Falkland Islands and South Georgia.
