Rescuing endangered gibbons in Vietnam

Vietnam has over 300 rare wild animal species, many of which are under threat of extinction. These include several species of gibbons, illegally hunted for food, medicine and the pet trade.

The Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Centre was set up to rescue and rehabilitate these animals back into the wild. Run by scientist Marina Kenyon it also offers visitors a rare opportunity to see these creatures in their natural habitat.
