Mardi Gras in New Orleans - the 'Big Easy' party

Since the disaster of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 the New Orleans economy has been slowly getting back on its feet, helped significantly by tourism.

The world famous Mardi Gras carnival season is now in full swing, with around a million locals and tourists celebrating in the streets, day and night.
