Airlines battle with travel websites for control of ticket sales

Airlines want more people to buy directly from their websites and are taking drastic action to try and make that happen - but will this mean cheaper tickets and more choice for customers?

American Airlines' schedules and prices are no longer displayed on two of the biggest travel websites in the world, Orbitz and Expedia.
