Face to face with basking sharks off the Cornish coast

Within the past few weeks huge sharks have started appearing off the coast of Cornwall in south west England.

From now until early September basking sharks are expected to be seen just a few hundred yards from some of the region's most popular beaches.

As John McIntyre reports, the arrival of these giant sharks has given Cornwall an adventurous new twist on its reputation as a top tourist destination.
