The Global Account programmes are free-standing documentaries that uncover the secrets that those in positions of authority would prefer to stay hidden.

The programmes are presented by the BBC's top radio reporters. Their brief: to tell difficult - and sometimes dangerous - stories with determination and style.

A defining feature of this collection is the gathering of first-hand evidence and testimony, followed by the cross-examination of those in authority.

Part Three: Europe's Secret CIA Prison

In September 2006, President George Bush finally admitted what many had suspected for a long time: that a small number of terrorists were being held in a separate prison programme operated by the CIA. But what he would not say is where these secret prisons were located.

Since then the hunt has been on to find these "black sites" and follow the so-called rendition process by which terrorist suspects are flown around the world.

It has been suggested some of these black sites were situated in Eastern Europe - in Poland and Romania. The governments of both countries have strongly denied the rumours.

This special BBC programme reveals significant new evidence of Poland's role in the secret war on terror and follows the rendition trail to all the way to North Africa.
