Mads Bendt and Geoff Adams-Spink in Mads's car

Geoff Adams-Spink travels to three continents to meet a number of disabled people.

He finds out what motivates and frustrates other disabled people in their daily lives and compares their experiences with his own.

Part Two: Denmark

Geoff Adams-Spink visits Denmark where provision for disabled people is among the most progressive and generous anywhere in the world.

But how does it work in practice?

Geoff talks to Mads Bendt, who was paralysed in a hang-gliding accident when he was 19. His wife describes him as a "brainer", he has an IQ of 154, and for her, this is more of a problem for their relationship than his disability.

For Mads, he says it was easier before his disability, but he can use his head to deal with the physical challenges he has in his life.
