The Changing Face of Global Power
First broadcast September 2005

If recent projections are on target, by the year 2050, the USA will no longer be the world's biggest economy, although it will still be in the top six.

Future global economic powers will include Brazil, Russia, India and China (the BRICs).

Peter Day asks what it will be like to live in that world?

And what signs can we see in the BRIC countries that this future is already dawning?

Part Three: The BRICs Tomorrow

Peter Day explores what it will be like to live in a world where the US and Europe have had to cede space at the top table to emerging powers Brazil, Russia, India and China.

He also meets young people in the BRIC countries who are preparing for that prosperous, powerful future.
