Farish Noor
Farish Noor, Malaysian academic and activist

Farish Noor is a Malaysian political scientist and human rights activist based at the Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO) in Berlin.

He has been researching and writing about politics and religion in Asia for more than a decade and has also been a campaigner for religious freedom and human rights in Malaysia.

For BBC Radio 4's Crossing Continents he casts a critical eye on his country and examines the current debate about religious freedom and the sensitivities surrounding conversion from Islam.
