Europe 'should not copy Silicon Valley'

Mention digital innovation and many will think of Silicon Valley or developments in Asia - but rarely in Europe.

The European Commissioner for Digital Agenda Neelie Kroes says Europe has its own identity and so should not look to emulate successes in the US in the same way. Instead, she says, Europe should become "a silicon continent".
