Sweden bids to be European base for Virgin Galactic


The New Mexico desert in the US may be the home for Sir Richard Branson's space tourism venture Virgin Galactic but, even though flights will not take off until at least 2013, is he already looking for a European base?

Dan Simmons examines Sweden's prospects of becoming the European home to commercial space travel.
