Nokia once dominated the mobile market but this year, for the first time, it has been overtaken by Samsung and could struggle further as more users look to upgrade to a smartphone.

Dan Simmons looks at whether Nokia's partnership with Microsoft and the launch of the Windows Phone Mango operating system will revive the communications giant or if it is a final roll of the dice.
