Kate Russell gives her latest selection of the best sites on the World Wide Web.

PIXORIAL (www.pixorial.com)

This editing tool proves you do not need an expensive editing suite to put together a professional-looking video.

Pixorial.com is a free and easy to use browser-based application which comes with 10GB of memory for storing your videos online.

It is not always sophisticated, but it does allow you to invite friends and families to collaborate on a project.

PICKLIVE (www.picklive.com)

Picklive.com is an intriguing real-time game where you can play along live with World Cup matches.

Broken down into mini games, gamers choose three players from the 22 on the field and gain points depending on their performance.

When a real live game starts the player lobby will pop up on your computer. You will just have to work out where the match is being shown in your country if you want to watch it on TV too.

STITCHER (http://stitcher.com)

Stitcher.com allows you to build a custom playlist or just listen to a pre-made set of podcasts.

The site re-compresses the podcasts before delivering them to your handset but be aware that streaming requires a large amount of bandwidth.

You can listen from your desktop or there are apps for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Palm Pre devices, though not all are supported yet.

TWILK (http://twilk.com)

Twilk.com takes the profile photos of your Twitter followers and arranges them into a wallpaper background for your account.

You can feature your followers or those you follow, or a combination of both.

You will have to pay if you do not want to see adverts.
