Dan Simmons reports on a new company promising to offer people a virtual view of real places and events.

YellowBird's technology aims to deliver virtual tours in video which users can explore at their leisure.

"The user can look around for themselves and decide for themselves what they want to look at in a particular scene," explains yellowbird CEO, Marc Groothelm.

The company expects it is months away from streaming live events. But it has released a beta version, so users can try out a demo.
