Sir David Frost with Deputy PM John Prescott MP, Conservative Party Chairman Michael Ancram & Liberal Democrat Simon Hughes
Sunday 25th March 2001 on BBC 1

In a special edition of Breakfast with Frost from Enfield this morning, Sir David Frost spoke to Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott MP, Conservative Party Chairman Michael Ancram and Liberal Democrat Home Affairs Spokesman Simon Hughes about the Prime Minister's decision to call a general election - and whether now is really the right time to do so.

Questions were taken from the audience in Enfield on the main issues of the day - the timing of the general election and the ongoing foot and mouth outbreak. And questions were also taken on health and education in the UK.

Reviewing the Sunday Newspapers today were author Carol Stone and playwright Alistair Beaton.

This week's transcript:

Breakfast with Frost, Sunday 25th March 2001
