DAVID FROST: And we've just heard that Will Young has arrived for his rehearsal and so on and we'd like to thank him for joining us for a moment. Will a year ago...

WILL YOUNG: Hi...

DAVID FROST: The fact that you were going to be playing at Buckingham Palace would have been, would have seemed unlikely to you perhaps?

WILL YOUNG: Well I tell you what, this time a year ago I would have just finished my exams yesterday, so I would have been sleeping in, probably not thinking about much else actually.

DAVID FROST: And you'd have probably been legless as well I should think, ending the exams. What are you going to sing tomorrow, songs that you sang on Pop Idol or not?

WILL YOUNG: No I'm going to sing Heard It Through The Gravevine by Marvin Gaye in the Motown section and there's a possibility of another one but I'm not sure at the moment so I can't say definite.

DAVID FROST: Will you just be excited tomorrow night or nervous?

WILL YOUNG: Well I've never been so nervous but I've never been so excited and it's very strange and I'm hoping that I can change that nervousness into excitement before I go on otherwise I'm in a bit of trouble. But no I'm very excited at the moment.

DAVID FROST: That's fantastic, well Will thank you for joining us, thank you all for joining us this morning. Top of the morning, we'll be back in our usual setting next week but for this week we have less politics this week more next week I guess but for now top of the morning, good morning.

END
