Noel is an occasional presenter on Breakfast and has had a long connection with the programme.
He's based in Belfast where he anchors the Northern Ireland evening news programme BBC Newsline, and presents the weekly 'Hearts and Minds' politics programme.
Noel has won many awards at national and local level for his journalism.
Northern Ireland is one of the BBC's busiest news regions, but it's always good to come to Television Centre and work on a national and world news agenda.
Breakfast is a great programme to work on because it has the time to deal with a huge range of stories. In the space of an hour I could be talking to the Olympic Champion Michael Phelps, David Cameron and Donald Sutherland, although that would be a particularly exciting morning!
If I'm not working at the weekend I go hill-walking or cycling. I also love to sing; I'm in the chorus of Castleward Opera, and perform the great choral works with the 150 voice Belfast Philharmonic Choir.
