True Blood is the US vampire series that's making its terrestrial premiere on Channel 4 on Wednesday night. The drama is based in the back-water Louisiana town of Bon Temps, where vampires have come out of the coffin and are demanding equal rights. The lead actor is Brit, Stephen Moyer who plays an 173-year-old vampire, Bill Compton. The series has been HBO's most successful drama since The Sopranos.
