The day to day running of a geriatric ward doesn't sound like a barrel of laughs, but its currently proving the perfect setting for a new BBC comedy.
'Getting On' is a three part BBC Four comedy drama that's set in a slightly more overlook corner of a geriatric ward. The series is devised, written and performed by Jo Brand, Joanna Scanlan and Vicki Pepperdine. Joanna plays Sister Den Flixter and Vicki takes on the role as Doctor Pippa Moore.
The comedy is part of the BBC 4's Grey Expectations strand which celebrates the joys of ageing and the morbid humour of death. And you can see the next episode of Getting On tonight on BBC Four at 10.30pm
