There's another new way that you can catch up with Breakfast in the morning.

This week, the BBC News website launched a streaming service of News 24.

That means you can watch Breakfast live on the internet from 6.00am to 0830am Monday to Friday.

You can also watch all of Breakfast at the weekend and have access to News 24 - live at other times.

It's very simple to do, and we've put together a quick guide to watching Breakfast, on the web, below.

Watching the live stream of Breakfast

Streaming Breakfast over the web
Breakfast can be seen on the web from 0600 to 0830

  • The live stream of Breakfast is only available to web users based in the UK, and if you're outside the UK, you'll see a different version of the BBC News website - without the live stream
  • You will not be able to download, rewind or watch again any of the content form the live stream, but remember, many BBC News programmes have their own podcasts
  • To watch the live stream of BBC News 24 - look for the link at the very top of the website. It's in the middle of the page, look for the 'watch live' button
  • This will open a television viewer - you don't need to download any software, but you will be asked whether you want to watch using Real Player, or Windows Media, and whether in high or low quality
  • You might find it better to select high quality if you're using broadband
  • If you're using Internet Explorer 7, the television viewer may open on a separate tab
  • The service is hosted by the BBC News website - not by Breakfast, but you will be able to see the link whether you're on the Breakfast homepage, or the UK News homepage

  • As Breakfast splits from News 24 at 0830, you will not be able to see the last 45 minutes of Breakfast on the live player
  • For more information about the forthcoming iPlayer launch from the BBC, which is yet another new service, follow the links to the right of this page
