Billie Piper: autobiography published today
|
In her first television interview since leaving Doctor Who, Billie Piper reveals just how emotional she felt when she watched her last episode go out on BBC One.
Breakfast's Bill Turnbull went to meet the former singer turned actress on the set of her latest TV series, an adaptation of the Philip Pullman children's book The Ruby in the Smoke.
He caught up with her in full Victorian costume, on one of the hottest days of the year.

She told Bill about how sad she'd been to watch her last episode of Doctor Who:
"I made everyone leave the house and I got a bottle of wine in and got very drunk and very sad."
But, after two years as the Doctor's assistant, Billie felt it was time to do something else.
The Ruby in the Smoke, which will be broadcast on the BBC over Christmas, is just one of her projects.
She's also publishing her autobiography, at the tender age of 23.
She promises it will be frank about her previous career as a pop singer, her marriage and divorce from the DJ Chris Evans - and the dark underbelly of the pop industry.
