The size guidelines for hand luggage
|
If you like to take "wheelie bags'' on as hand luggage on aircraft you may be in for a shock - from this summer they'll no longer be allowed
Nothing larger than 22in long, 18in wide and 10in deep will be allowed as hand luggage.
The guidelines are not new, but will be stricly enforced for the first time, so this summer on your holidays you may be in for a suprise.

This morning we spoke to Judith Chalmers, long time Wish You Were Here presenter - the programme was on ITV for 30 years, so Judith has plenty of experience - and top tips to pass on
Judith told us how some travellers wear several layers of clothes during the journey to cut down on what they have to pack!
But her advice is to simply cut down on the items you take, by reducing the number of colours that you wear.
And she thought it is ok, to wear the jumper that you might need in the evenings on holiday on your flight!
The British Airports Authority says there has been a growing trend to carry on more and larger luggage.
The aim of the restrictions is to alter passengers' behaviour. Often they hope to make a swift getaway on arriving at their destination by avoiding having to wait for luggage to be unloaded.
But this, in turn, has created long delays at the X-ray machine conveyor belt during boarding.
The BAA says that if passengers try to sneak extra large hand baggage onto the plane, they will be stopped, and the bags checked into the hold.
Duty free goods, which are bought "airside'', will not be affected by the curb.
