Mel: The Producers' producer
Mel Brooks' classic film The Producers is a bit of an oddity. A damp squib at the box office - it never re-couped the $900,000 it cost to make - it became a cult film and then a sell-out musical.

Now, The Producers is being made back into a film.

And the difference this time is that it will have all the songs written by Mel Brooks for the stage musical.

We sent our very own Bill Turnbull - a big fan of films such as Blazing Saddles - to talk to Mel Brooks.

He told Bill how he'd come to re-make his own film.
