A new book has been published which contains material from the comedian's archive - it includes scripts and sketches that became a legendary part of the duos repertoire.
This morning on Breakfast, we spoke to Eric's son Gary Morecambe
Gary said that when they decided to sort out Eric's room they discovered all sorts of things.

They saw his diary entries and some of the gags he'd written down, and when a musical number or sketch had appeared in a show, the programme and year would be written on it.
Gary Morecambe told us that going through his father's things was like entering a time warp. He even discovered mini tape recordings.
He added that Morecambe and Wise grafted for twenty years, and then another twenty years of success followed.
"Life at home was one big laugh" said Gary.
