Who's top dog in Westminster?

If you thought Pawliment was all work and no play - think again.
Westminster transformed into a dog eat dog environment on Wednesday not because of heated debate, but due to hot competion in the Westminster Dog of the Year contest.
In its 15th year, the competition this time around featured dogs owned by MPs, political journalists and peers.
A total of 11 dogs vied for the title and were judged on their good deeds and behaviour, over looks and pedigree.
Canine welfare
But, don't think some dogs didn't go to lengths to impress the judges.
"Buster," the three year old Straffordshire Bull Terrier, belonging to Andrew Rosindell, Conservative MP for Romford, donned his British pride Union Jack waist coat.
The contest, run by Dogs Trust and The Kennel Club - two London organisations devoted to canine welfare, has a serious side: to promote responsible dog ownership and create an awareness of canine welfare issues.
Judges included Tony Baldry MP, owner of the last year's title-holder, Torres, a 2-year-old Pug.
Tune into The Record this at 11pm on this Friday 20 October to find out what happened and who earned the coveted prize.
