Dark side of the sun
Young Brits abroad
Top Radio 1 DJ Emma B reports from the Mediterranean where Ibiza remains a magnet for young people whose holiday wish list has just four categories: sun, sex, booze and drugs.

They transform a small part of this Mediterranean isle into a melting pot of excess.

The Ibiza economy may thrive but the locals are wary of the "Brits Abroad" reputation.

Meanwhile, young people are ignoring medical advice and putting their health at risk.

'GBH' warning

Rajesh Mirchandani discovers Britons are taking more than just their bad behaviour abroad.

Around two people a day are admitted to Ibiza's main hospital in a drug-induced coma - and campaigners say the substance has been brought in from the UK.

The Dance Drug Alliance is preparing new health advice after 4x4 alerted the organisation to this new phenomenon involving a drug with the scientific name GHB, nicknamed 'GBH'.

Rape victims

Vanessa Collingridge finds out about the British holidaymakers who become the victims of crime.

Rape campaigners say only a tenth of attacks in Mediterranean resorts are ever reported.

Zero tolerance

Navdip Dhariwal goes to Ayia Napa - one-time Cypriot counterpart to Ibiza - where the party is now over.

Police on Cyprus have imposed zero tolerance on a once free and easy drugs scene.

The mayoress is tightly controlling the bars and clubs.

But as young people seek their holiday fun elsewhere, the locals are up in arms because their livelihoods are dying.
