I only caught one programme in this series, but watched with great interest. As a recent graduate of Comparative Relgion and Social Anthropology (specialising in South Asia), I was pleased to see such an interesting approach to survivors' lives - both practical and personal - in the aftermath of the tsunami.
Emily Grose, Marlow

Firstly I think it is a great ides to have programmes like these and there should be many more of them. I was just watching the programme about Maha who reluctantly gets married. Ialways find it puzzling to understand why most programmes about arranged marriages give the impression that the girl is forced and unhappy. Most arranged marriages are happy and both the boy and the girl want to get married in this way.
Bhasker Bhadresha, Essex

I would like to congratulate the BBC on producing an easy-viewing documentary that presented Christianity in the midst of the tsunami aftermath in a positive light. It was of real encouragement to me and to others I have spoken with to see how faith in God has and can make a difference in people's lives.

There was real sensitivity shown with the mention of the tension between Christians and other religious groups in the area. Please show more documentaries on real faith testimonies without all the comment and scepticism that seems to have accompanied most religious documentaries to date.
Alison Fountain, Hull

Thank you so much for your coverage of the Christian ministry in Matara Miracle Man, undertaken in such a caring and considerate way. It is so rare to have a programme that reflects living Christianity so positively, especially in the light of such a tragedy.
Mrs. J. Christmas, Kent

I'm so pleased that I watched tonight's broadcast Matara Miracle Man. It's wonderful how so much good can stem from what would otherwise be an entirely disillusioning and pointless disaster.
Stephen Jones, Streatham

Having watched the first two programmes in the series, I have been impressed by this evening's one about Father GSK Herath. I shall continue to watch the rest of the series as it is very enlightening.
Paul Taylor, Hertfordshire

I thought your programme on Father Herath was wonderful.
Mrs Bickerdike, Wakefield

I caught Matara Miracle Man by accident and am so pleased for showing Christianity in a positive light. Thank you for giving the Christian faith a small window again in a media world that sometimes seems so anti the Christian faith.
Kim du Plessis, Richmond

I have just watched Buddha and the Beach. What an inspirational programme. Deang and the rest of the villagers are people of real courage. Rebuilding their lives and their village after such a devastating event in which so many their relatives had died, as well as facing the developers. Will there be an update? I would like to know if they win their legal battle. I wish them all the best.
David Salter, GB

I am very sad every time I see the devastation caused by the tsunami in my country. I thank the BBC for the excellent documentary Buddha and the Beach. I send my love to Deang and all her villagers in their quest to rebuild their lives. With their belief in Buddah and all our prayers from around the world, given a little more time they can all go forward in their lives.
Sopee Harvey, Essex

Buddha and the Beach was an excellent moving documentary.
Simon Perry, Bristol

I was very moved at the bravery and courage of the female village leader in Buddha and the Beach who lost her daughter. I am keen to learn more about how I can assist the villagers in their struggle against the developers.
Carmel Crowe, Dublin
