Arab world condemns Israel over violence

There has been condemnation in the Arab world of Israel's actions during the protests of the past three days.

President Mubarak of Egypt is reported to have telephoned Mr Barak to express his extreme dissatisfaction with Israel's handling of the protests.

In the Egyptian city of Alexandria, thousands of students demonstrated in support of the Palestinians.

Several governments -- from Saudi Arabia to Sudan -- have condemned Israel's actions and the Arab League is to hold an emergency session on Sunday.
