Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan speaks on Iran weapons


The Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has told the BBC that he believes Iran has no intention of developing nuclear weapons.

Mr Erdogan has described the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinjad, as a "friend" - and speaking in an interview with BBC World's Nik Gowing, he said he had full confidence in Iran's guarantees that its nuclear programme was for civilian purposes only.
