VALIASAR STREET, TEHRAN
Iran witness: Valiasar Street
The crowds are chanting for opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, who were defeated in Iran's presidential election in June 2009.
They are also chanting: "The Russian embassy is the home of spies".
The video appears to have been filmed in Valiasar Street, central Tehran, and was sent to BBC Persian TV.
MOFFATEH STREET, TEHRAN
Iran witness: Mofatteh Street
The protesters chant: "Death to the liar" and call for a national government.
The crowd is in Mofatteh Street, near Haft-e Tir square.
This video clip was posted on a video-sharing website.
HAFT-E TIR SQUARE, TEHRAN
Iran witness: Woman injured
Bystanders wipe blood from the face of a woman who has been injured during the protests.
It is thought this clip was filmed in Tehran's Haft-e Tir square.
It was sent to BBC Persian TV.
FATEMI STREET, TEHRAN
Iran witness: Fatemi Street
This footage appears to show protesters marching in Fatemi Street in central Tehran, a student area.
They seem to be chanting an old revolutionary poem. It says: "You killed the youth of my country, God is great, Death to you".
The clip was sent to BBC Persian TV.
KHARIMKHAN STREET, TEHRAN
Iran witness: Kharimkhan Street
This footage appears to show people gathering in Kharimkhan Street.
The location is very near to the former US and Russian embassies in central Tehran.
The protesters are heard to chant: "Down with the dictator... With the help of God, victory is near."
BBC Persian TV received this video from someone who claims to have witnessed the demonstrations on Wednesday.
QAZVIN, NORTH OF TEHRAN
Iran witness: Qazvin
Demonstrations also took place at locations outside Tehran, reports say.
This video appears to show protests in the university town of Qazvin, to the north west of the capital.
They are chanting a well-known solidarity song, titled: "My school friend".
The clip was sent to BBC Persian TV by a person believed to be a witness to the protests.
