UN hopes for Iran nuclear accord

It has been reported that Iran has replied to the UN proposal aimed at easing international concerns over its nuclear programme.

The deal would provide Iran with nuclear fuel, and reduce concerns that Tehran is trying to develop nuclear weapons - which Iran denies.

Iranian media suggest Tehran wants major changes to the draft - but President Ahmadinejad has hailed what he calls a shift in the west's attitude.
