Lebanon sets hummus world record

About 300 Lebanese chefs have set a world record for the largest plate of hummus.

They prepared more than two tonnes of the dish, a dip which includes chickpeas, olive oil and lemon juice.

Hummus is popular throughout the Middle East and the Lebanese insist they invented it.

But officials say most satisfying, is the taste of victory after taking the world title from neighbours Israel.
