Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari has told the BBC there must be an international investigation into last week's NATO airstrikes on two hijacked oil tankers in Afghanistan's Kunduz province.

He also spoke about the disputed Afghan election results and Pakistan's battle with Taliban militants.

Mr Zardari was speaking to the BBC's Orla Guerin in Islamabad to mark his first year in office as civilian president of Pakistan.
