Violence over car park opening

Police have clashed with hundreds of ultra-Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem over the opening of a car park on the Sabbath. It was reported that protesters threw stones and ran at police barricades.

It is the third week of protests over the opening, which ultra-Orthodox Jews fear will lead to an increase in tourism and shops trading on the Sabbath.
