Iran to 'hold election recount'

Iran's powerful Guardian council says it is ready to hold a partial recount of Friday's presidential election.

It follows the death of seven civilians who were killed on Monday near a huge protest rally over the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

US President Barack Obama has said he is deeply troubled by the images of violence against protestors.

Heavy restrictions have now been placed on the BBC and other foreign news organisations in Iran. Reporters are not allowed to cover unauthorised gatherings or move around freely in Tehran, but there are no controls over what they can say. Jon Leyne reports from Tehran.
