Addicted to drugs in Iran


Iran is engaged in one of the world's biggest battles against the effects of illegal drugs.

It is estimated the country has as many as four million addicts, and cheap narcotics are easily available from neighbouring Afghanistan.

In an effort to combat the problem the Islamic Republic is using a progressive set of drug treatment programmes. Tehran correspondent Jon Leyne reports.
