Ahmadinejad on Saberi verdict

Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has told ABC News that he believes that jailed Iranian-American journalist, Roxana Saberi, will "not be mistreated".

The 31-year-old was found guilty of spying in a trial in the Revolutionary Court in Tehran.

US President, Barack Obama, has said he is "gravely concerned for her safety and well-being" and has called for her release.

In an interview with President Ahmadinejad, he said Mr Obama should allow the judiciary in Iran "to carry out its duty".
