Twelve Angry Lebanese prisoners

Roumieh Prison is Lebanon's biggest high security jail, notorious for bloody riots and terrible conditions and home to some of the country's most serious criminals.

But thanks to the dedication of Zeina Daccache, a young Lebanese actress and director, it was the setting for an adaptation of the play Twelve Angry Men.

The cast of Twelve Angry Lebanese are all prisoners from Roumieh, including murderers and rapists.

Zeina Daccache explains how the project came about - and what it was like on opening night, when government officials joined the audience.

Thanks to Jocelyne Abi Gebrayel.
