Remains of mosque hit in air strike

Israel has turned down calls for an immediate ceasefire in its offensive in the Gaza Strip as casualties continue to pour into Gaza's over-stretched hospitals.

The ground operation was preceded by a campaign of aerial bombardment which Israel said was aimed at stopping militants from firing rockets into Israel.

BBC producer Rushdi Abu Alouf has visited the remains of a mosque in Gaza which was hit.
