Animals smuggled into Gaza zoo

Keepers at the Heaven of Birds and Animals Zoo in Gaza say that they have been forced to smuggle animals into the country from Egypt.

They brought monkeys, lions and gazelles through tunnels which snake under the border.

Some of Gaza's commercial trade was forced underground after the Islamic group Hamas took control last year, prompting neighbouring Israel and Egypt to restrict the flow of goods.

Smugglers say a new moves by Egypt to blow the passages up will have little effect.
