Map of Iraq
Two roadside bombs have exploded on the outskirts of Baghdad, killing at least eight people and wounding more than 20.

The blasts hit workers preparing to travel into the city in a busy market area in the predominantly Shia Jisr Diyala district.

Women and children were among the dead and injured, police and hospital officials said.

The first bomb struck workers and the second went off when police arrived to investigate, according to officials.
