Iraq map
A car bomb has killed eight people and injured another 10 in the east of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, police said.

All of the dead were civilians, police and security officials said.

Dozens were killed and scores hurt in a wave of car bomb attacks in different parts of Baghdad on Tuesday. Three US soldiers were also killed.

Hundreds of Iraqis have died in recent months, in escalating violence between members of the country's Shia and Sunni Muslim communities.
