MEET THE PANEL
Name: Samir Amro
Age: 36
Lives: East Jerusalem
Works: Youth worker
The Old City Youth Association supports children, youths and women through education, sports activities and health care.

But we can't do this now the funding has stopped.

I've just come from a meeting with other NGOs working in Jerusalem. They were all complaining they can no longer take care of the people who used to use their services.

I haven't been paid for two months. I have to support my wife and five children.

We have to borrow from each other and get credit from shops.

I voted for Hamas and I still support them.

We were very angry about the international community's response to the election of Hamas.

Humanitarian support should be unconditional and separate from the political reality.

The entire Palestinian population is being punished.

I predict this will make people more extreme and encourage them to support Hamas even more.
