The Czech Republic has announced it will extradite a member of the ruling family of Qatar, arrested in Prague for allegedly sexually abusing young girls.
Justice Minister Pavel Nemec said his government had received assurances from Qatar that Hamid Bin Abdul Sani al-Thani would be prosecuted there.
Mr al-Thani is in police custody in Prague and has already been charged by the Czech judiciary with sexual abuse.
A judiciary spokesman said the case had "complicated bilateral relations".
The Czech Republic has no extradition treaty with Qatar, but Doha had sent a diplomatic note requesting extradition, Petr Dimun told journalists.
"We got assurances that this is a criminal offence in Qatar, too, and that the man will be prosecuted," Mr Dimun said.
Mr al-Thani is accused of abusing under-age girls who were delivered to him in his Prague flat by three female employees.
