Foreigners seized in Gaza freed
Two foreign journalists captured by gunmen in Gaza have been released unharmed, a spokesman for the Palestinian interior ministry said.

The two, a Briton and an American, were kidnapped on Wednesday near the volatile southern town of Khan Younis.

Several foreigners recently abducted in Gaza have been released unharmed.

Palestinian security forces have been trying extend their control over Gaza after Israel withdrew its soldiers and settlers from the area in August.

The two journalists are said to have been travelling in a car with their translator along Gaza's coastal road, when their vehicle was stopped by gunmen.

The journalists were forced into another car, which then drove off in the direction of the Rafah refugee camp, sources said.

The translator was reportedly left behind.
