Iraqi fire teams have been tackling a blaze at a major oil refinery outside the capital, Baghdad, after a mortar attack set it alight, police said.
The mortar bomb fell on the refinery at Doura, in the south-western suburbs, at 2200 (1900 GMT) on Thursday and firefighters rushed to the scene.
According to police sources, they have now brought the fire under control.
The Doura refinery has come under frequent attack in the past, resulting in fuel shortages in the city.
The refinery houses and provides fuel for Baghdad's main power plant which generates electricity for much of the capital and surrounding areas.
Two civilians were treated for smoke inhalation after the attack.
