Israel army pulls back from Jenin
A woman grieves by the side of a Palestinian killed in fighting with Israeli forces
Nine Palestinians were killed in the Israeli operation, Jenin doctors say
The Israeli army says its troops have withdrawn from the West Bank town of Jenin and its refugee camp after more than two weeks of operations.

An army spokesman said 25 wanted Palestinians were arrested and a large arms cache was seized.

The Israelis also say that four militants suspected of carrying out recent attacks were also killed.

Palestinian medic reports that nine people were killed and 25 wounded in the operation.

The Israeli army says that among those arrested were local leaders of the militant group Islamic Jihad and the Fatah movement - the largest Palestinian political faction.

The West Bank has been occupied by Israel since 1967.

Jenin's refugee camp was the site of one of the most controversial operations of Israel's offensive in the West Bank in April 2002.
