A British man has been seriously injured after he was shot in the neck in Oman, the Foreign Office has said.
The Omani police are investigating the shooting in the Gulf state's capital Muscat on Sunday, it said.
British Embassy officials, who are assisting the investigation, said the Briton was shot near a medical centre.
The man's family have been informed and he is in a stable condition in hospital. The Omani authorities had no immediate comment to make.
