Israeli ambassador to Germany meets Kurds in Berlin

The Israeli ambassador to Germany, Avi Primor, has met two ethnic Kurdish members of the state parliament of Berlin following the killing on Wednesday of three Kurdish intruders by security agents at the Israeli consulate.

After the meeting, Mr Primor said Israel deeply regretted that lives were lost.

He said he hoped that the good relations Israel has always had with the Kurds would continue.

The MPs Giyasettin Sayan and Riza Baran said the Kurdish community wanted to avoid more violent clashes.
